Now in it’s fifth year, the Eat Drink RI Festival is expanding to be an even bigger, better and more delicious showcase of the culinary world in Rhode Island.  On Friday evening, it’s the return of the Truck Stop to benefit the Rhode Island Community Food Bank at the The Alex and Ani City Center. Last Festival’s Truck Stop raised over $110,000 for the RI Food Bank. The always sold-out event showcases the excellence and variety of Rhode Island’s mobile restaurants while benefiting an organization dedicated to ending hunger.

Food pantries are located in three separate locations for the convenience of our clients (East Providence, Newport and Tiverton), and they are assisted by local community volunteers, including AmeriCorps members. Our pantries are stocked with food that is both donated and purchased from the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.  A variety of food items are offered to clients based on availability. Often fresh produce and specialty items are available for healthier food choices such as low/no salt foods. Eggs, cheese and other protein products are also offered.
